SSC GD Selection Process
All the applicants who have applied for the SSC GD have to appear in three stages of the selection process. Candidates first go through the PST/PET followed by the written test and medical test. Candidates can also check the exam pattern on this page for all the three stages including the syllabus.

Physical Standard Test/Physical Endurance Test is conducted by the officials. The commission will upload the PST/PET Admit Card on the official website. All those candidates who qualified the PST/PET will be then called for the written test and then the shortlisted candidates of written exam will be called for the medical exam. Candidates can check the names of finally selected candidates on the official website.
SSC GD Exam Pattern
- There will be 100 questions in the exam.
- Maximum marks for the exam will be 100.
- Each question is of one marks and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- The total time duration for the exam will be 2 hours.
- The exam is the totally objective type.

Physical Standard Test
For male candidates:-
- Minimum height is 170 cm
- The minimum chest is 80 cms to 85 cms
For female candidates:-
- The minimum height is 157 cm
Note:- The weight of the participants should be according to the height.
Physical Efficiency Test
Male:- 5 km race in 24 minutes.
Female:- 1.6 km in 8.5 minutes.
For Ladakh region only:-
Male:- 1 mile in 6.5 minutes.
Female:- 800 meter in 4 minutes.
Medical Exam
- Visual Acuity unaided (near vision) – N6 – N9
- Uncorrected visual acuity (distance vision) – 6/9
- Visual correction is not permitted not by even glasses.
