SSC CPO Selection Process
The commission has already mentioned the complete selection process in the official notification but many of the applicants still forget it. So here you can check it anytime for every stage.
- Written exam (Paper I & Paper II)

First, the officials will conduct the Tier I which is a written exam containing two sections. The exam pattern and the syllabus of both the sections are given below. After the Tier I the commision will release the result for it and the result contains the names of the eligible candidates for the Tier II. Tier I:
Paper I:
- General Intelligence and Reasoning
- General Knowledge and General Awareness
- Quantitative Aptitude
- English Comprehension
Exam Pattern:
- The exam will be objective type.
- There will be 200 questions in the exam.
- The exam will be of 200 marks.
- There will be 50 questions form each of the above-mentioned topics.
- Each topic comprises 50 marks.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for the wrong answer.
- Total time duration is 2 hours.
Paper II:
- English Language and Comprehension.
- The exam will be objective type.
- Maximum marks are 200.
- There will be total 200 questions.
- Total time duration is 2 hours.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
Tier II:
PET for male candidates:
- 100 meter in 16 seconds.
- 1.6 km in 6.5 minutes.
- 3.65 meter Long Jump (3 chances)
- 1.2 meter High Jump (3 chances)
- 4.5-meter Shop Put (16 Lbs) in 3 chance
For female candidates
- 100 meter in 18 seconds
- 800 meter in 4 minutes
- 2.7 meters Long Jump (3 chances)
- 0.9 meter High Jump (3 chances)
A medical exam may be conducted for the selection of candidates in the second stage.
