Selection Process
The selection process for the SSC CGL post will be completed in various phases. Candidates have to go through all the phases to get the available job vacancy.
- Tier I
- Tier II
- Tier III
- Tier IV
All the applicants can appear in the Tier I Exam but only those candidates will be allowed to take part in the remaining stage who score more than the cutoff marks.
Exam Syllabus and Pattern
Tier I: When we think of appearing in any of the job exam firstly, everyone checks for the eligibility criteria and the syllabus for the particular exam. As per the official notification the exam syllabus for the Tier I is as follows
- General Intelligence and Reasoning
- General Awareness
- Quantitative Aptitude
- English Comprehension
Tier I Pattern:
- There will be 25 questions on each of the topic.
- Each section of the paper is of 50 marks.
- There will be 100 questions in the exam.
- The Exam will be of total 200 marks.
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
The qualified candidates of the Tier I will be able to download the admit card for the next phase i.e Tier II or we can say that they can appear in the next phase.
Tier II:
- Quantitative Abilities
- English Language and Comprehension
- Statistics
- General Studies (Finance & Economic)
Tier II Pattern:
- There will be 100 questions from 1st, 3rd, 4th topic and rest 200 questions form 2nd topic.
- Each section will be of 200 marks.
- There will be a total of 500 questions in the exam.
- The exam will be of total 800 marks.
Tier III:
- Descriptive paper in English/Hindi
- Essay writing/Precis/Letter/Application writing etc.
- Total marks for the exam will be 100.
- Total time for the exam will be 60 minutes.
Tier IV:
- Date entry skill test/ Computer Proficiency Test
This is the final stage of the selection process. The commission will provide the list of selected candidates for the available job vacancy after the completion of this stage.
SSC CGL Cut off Marks 2022
